Digital Marketing Manager

My client requires an ambitious Digital Marketing Manager with experience within Retail or FMCG to manage and grow our consumer online marketing activity in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific.


The individual will have excellent Web Master skills- an eye for great design, strong copy writing skills, and proven experience at devising and implementing outstanding websites and online campaigns.

The main focus of the role is to develop web content and improve customer experience across three online channels:
The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for communicating with our customer database, preparing effective email campaigns, evaluating and reporting on results. The role will work closely with and support our eCommerce Channel Managers in the UK, America and Canada and will support a broader set of digital marketing skills including Paid Search, Search Engine Optimisation, Database marketing, Affiliate marketing and Social Media.


Website management using content management systems to create and manage compelling consumer messages and continuously enhance our online communications. Manage the relationship with digital marketing agencies and systems providers, support and train regional employees. Launch new sites and tactical campaigns. The individual needs to be hands on writing, producing content as well as having the strength to influence and provide technical guidance on content systems to regional teams.

Email marketing Manage segmented email campaigns for Partners. Campaigns include Promotions, Newsletters, Product updates, Card reloads and Customer surveys. Manage the agency relationship with Communicator, including templates, domain management/data accuracy, data mining, data capture activities. Support, advise and train regional users.

Market research Deliver real customer insight by managing our in house surveys from end to end- survey design to analysis. Prepare a Quarterly online round up providing core insight on Online industry trends and changing behaviours- particularly within the travel sectors.

Campaign management Support global/regional campaigns, eg development of virals, microsites, raffles, traffic generating gadgets, such as budget calculator widgets, or mobile applications

Reporting, analyse customer journeys on site, campaign evaluation, measuring marketing effectiveness.

Budget/Finance Manage the global E-commerce budget to ensure R OI and use synergies with global, adaptable marketing solutions. Provide guidance to regional marketing teams on how to get the best R OI on their email campaigns and other digital marketing initiatives.

Partners and Affiliates Support affiliate network with relevant banners, acquire new relevant online partners to generate traffic and enhance brand/product awareness with travel affine audiences

Support global projects, eg website development to improve user journey, ensure design is on brand and usable on a global basis, and manage ad hoc projects supporting global marketing team in all things online


Candidate Profile


Commercial naturally focused on building web sites that drive KPIs and the trading performance of the business
Planning must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects, ensuring timely implementation
Customer Focus - can think like a customer, gleaning pertinent insight: uses that knowledge to build interesting web pages to provide the best possible customer experience

Experience
Essential

At least three years experience with CMS developing consumer facing web sites
Has produced creative, attractive, compelling consumer facing websites

Desirable


Experience of working in Matrix teams
Experience of working Internationally
